Before Don Rickles passed away in April, rap superstar Snoop Dogg had the pleasure of having dinner with the legendary entertainer and asking him if he ever smoked pot.
Rickles’ dinner with Snoop is the first episode of a posthumous web video series released by AARP called “Dinner with Don.”
Sharing a meal at Mr. Chow in Los Angeles, Snoop and Rickles initially bond together over some vodka while discussing personal influences, family, the entertainment business, and of course, marijuana.
“Back in your days, what was the relaxation? Because in our day, we choose cannabis as our relaxation,” Snoop tells Rickles.
Snoop then lightly grills Rickles over the fact that he never used pot, to which Rickles replies, “What are you, the D.A.?”[embedded content]
Snoop then pats Rickles on the shoulder and jokes, “You’ve touched it now.”
“That was a good run. You’re going to pay for that now,” Rickles quips.
The entire video series can be streamed online, and includes dinner conversations with Paul Rudd, Sarah Silverman, and Zach Galifianakis, to name a few.
