A new interview with Johnny Marr is further evidence that marijuana can enhance just about any activity.
In a new segment from Pitchfork‘s “Over/Under” video series, the former Smiths bandmate and current British guitar rock legend admitted that smoking pot allowed him to appreciate America’s favorite pastime, if only for a moment.
“Baseball – totally overrated,” Marr told Pitchfork.
However, Marr — a celebrated Mancunian who undoubtedly prefers English football — would go on to explain how smoking cannabis provided a brief moment of interest in our oldest professional sports league.
“One time I sat on the couch with someone – who was a big fan – and got stoned and [he] explained it to me. It was fascinating,” Marr explains in the video, which can be viewed below. “But I’m sure probably only five minutes went by and it seemed like hours, frankly. It was an interesting five minutes, [but] that probably had something to do with the weed.”[embedded content]
Marr also shares his opinions on moustaches (“undoubtedly overrated”), and his former bandmate Morrissey, who he describes as “Enigma, ex-partner, words, politics.”
