Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you deliver outside of California?
No, we do not. As more states legalize, we will expand to those areas but for now all deliveries must originate and end up in California.
Do you deliver outside of California if I pay you more money?
No, we do not. As more states legalize, we will expand to those areas but for now all deliveries must originate and end up in California.
Do you have a location I can visit?
Are you trying to stalk us?? We are a delivery-only medical marijuana patient collective. Our discreet delivery service is available to all legal cannabis patients in California. Choosing products is as easy as shopping online. All images you see of our cannabis products are what you will receive with your order.
When will my order arrive?
Depends on where you are. SoCal orders placed before 5PM Monday-Friday arrive the following business day. Norcal and some locations may take two days but this is rare. Weekend, same day, on-demand delivery is available in select areas. New markets are will be added soon.
Do I need a doctor's recommendation? How do I get one?
Yes, you do need one but it's REALLY easy. You can see a cannabis doctor right now, online by clicking here. (You'll receive $25 in SpeedWeed coupons, too!)
Is your packaging discrete?
Very discreet and professional. We believe that the right to personal privacy is our most sacred right and we do everything we can to protect yours. Shipped orders arrive in a clean, professional brown box with a shipping label from "Space Brain". There are no markings on the box, and the courier delivering it does not know the contents of your package, and does not work for SpeedWeed directly. Same-day orders are delivered by SpeedWeed personnel, but they do not know the contents of your order. That's your business.
Can you deliver to hotels or P.O. Boxes?
No, we can only deliver to your physical residential address. P.O. Boxes are under the legal jurisdiction of the Federal government who does not recognize your right to use cannabis.
What do I need to join?
SpeedWeed is a private, member's only service. To become a member, you must be a California resident with a valid doctor's recommendation and some form of government issued ID (Drivers license or Passport). If your ID does not show your delivery address, we also request Proof of Residency, which can be a lease agreement, utility bill, bank statement, etc.
Do you service all cities in California?
We service all cities in California listed here. This list is updated in real time as new areas become available.
How can I track my package?
We work with several small, private couriers and most do not have a patient side tracking utility (like UPS or FedEx does). We are actively working with our couriers to add this feature.
I received a broken/faulty/empty product, can I exchange it?
We treat issues like this on a case by case basis. Please use our chat feature, or send an email to support-at-symbol-speedweed-dotsymbol-com with a description of your issue, and a representative will contact you to work out a solution. Please note, we will not exchange used product unless it has a manufacturers defect.
Are you hiring? How can I become part of the SpeedWeed team?
SpeedWeed accepts applications online here. If our hiring manager thinks you're a good fit, someone will be in touch. There is no need to follow up your application with a call or email.
Are there minimums when using coupons?
Most of the time, yes. If you have questions about a specific coupon code, email us.
I purchased a doctor's recommendation from HelloMD, but you don't deliver in my area. How do I get a refund?
HelloMD is not the same company as SpeedWeed. Please direct any requests to www.hellomd.com. NOTE: Your HelloMD recommendation can be used at any legal California dispensary.
Is Medical Marijuana legal in California?
Yes. On November 5, 1996, California passed Proposition 215, and Section 11362.5 was codified and added to the Health & Safety Code. It is also known as the Compassionate Use Act of 1996. The purposes of the Act include, in part: “(A) To ensure that seriously ill Californians have the right to obtain and use marijuana for medical purposes where the medical use is deemed appropriate and has been recommended by a physician who has determined that the person’s health would benefit from the use of marijuana in the treatment of cancer, anorexia, AIDS, chronic pain, spasticity, glaucoma, arthritis, migraine, or any other illness for which marijuana provides relief; and (B) To ensure that patients and their primary caregivers who obtain and use marijuana for medical purposes upon the recommendation of a physician are not subject to criminal prosecution or sanction.”
May physicians legally recommend or prescribe medical marijuana to a patient?
Yes. On September 7, 2000, U.S. District Judge William Alsup ruled in Conant v. McCaffrey that federal authorities may not sanction doctors who recommend marijuana to patients. Please visit www.NORML.org for more information.
Why medical marijuana instead of other medications?
Medical marijuana is the flowering segment of marijuana plants that are cultivated under very controlled conditions. Our flowers are thoroughly inspected to be sure it free of mold, fungi, chemical pesticides and other contaminants. Our flowers are also tested and any effects are reported and noted. Speed Weed offers only medicinal quality cannabis to its qualified patients and caregivers.
Are you connected with the screenwriter who goes by Speed Weed
